HORN ISLAND - TORRES STRAIT BASE
Cape York Helicopters has been operating in the Torres Strait since 1999. The Horn Island Base makes access to both Northern Cape York and the Torres Strait more efficient and much quicker for clients. Both charter and scenic flights are available from Horn Island.
This base allows clients access to vast areas from Weipa to Papua New Guinea in both piston and turbine helicopters. Exclusive fuel dumps and extensive experience working in this magnificent but remote region gives clients confidence to travel safely and quickly in full comfort between isolated islands and mainland locations.
Scenic Flights
Operated from Horn Island give visitors a taste of some very beautiful remote islands with amazing historical background. Some inhabited and some not, many of these islands and locations will not see another visitor all year.
